Registration Cutoff

Registration cutoff is on Oct 20 2017, 5:00pm. After the cutoff you may register on the wait list (you will not be charged at this time).

Notes from the Event Director

Check in from 8am to 8:45am. First round at 9am. Players not checked in by 8:45 will forfeit the first round.

The tournament is USCF/NWSRS Dual Rated. It is limited to 76 players.

K-3 JTP Section will have 5 rounds. Time control is Game/25;d5.

The K-8 Open Section will have 4 rounds. Time control is Game/45;d5 (90 min total) - longer time controls offer good preparation
for national events.

All refunds subject to a $5 fee. No refunds given after October 14th.

Concessions will be available for sale during the tournament. We will have breakfast items (bagels and muffins), coffee, tea, bottled water, juice boxes, soda, chips, candy, cookies, Fruit by the Foot and cheese pizza (only available via pre-order).

K-3 JTP Section:
Junior Tournament Player section allows players to play USCF rated games without purchasing a USCF
Generous Trophies and Ice Cream certificate for Good Sportsmanship

K-8 Open (50 Players Maximum):
This section requires a USCF membership (separate from the tournament registration fee. USCF memberships
start at just $17 for 1 year for students 12 and under. They maybe purchased online at

Driving Directions:

I-90 east to the Lakemont Boulevard exit (Exit 13)
Head south on Lakemont Boulevard for 2.2 miles.
Turn left on SE Cougar Mountain Way and follow up hill.
SE Cougar Mountain Way becomes 168th Place SE.
Follow road around a 90 degree turn to the right to SE 60th Street.
Open Window School entrance is on your right.
